Stacey here. Summer is off to a scorching start, so I hope you’ve been able to stay safe and keep cool. The end of June is when vacation season really kicks into high gear, and it can be a tricky time of the year for business owners to navigate. In this edition, we’ve got some tips and resources to help busy entrepreneurs unplug and unwind this summer.
Get away and truly recharge
Taking time away from work is important when it comes to avoiding burnout, but it’s not so simple for business owners. Strategies vary pretty widely, from closing their business for a week or so at a time, or skipping time off altogether. And while postponing or skipping time off isn’t the best route, I get it. It’s hard to fully disengage when you’ve got a business to run.
Hopefully you’re able to fully disconnect for even a short while this summer. But if you can’t, planning a remote-work vacation could be a solution.
Our resident adventurer, Art, recently wrote an article on how to work when you’re on the road, complete with a packing list and tips on how to make the most of your journey (whether it’s just for vacation or something a bit more long-term).
Alternatively, if you’d rather not work on the road, automation might be just the thing. If you’re living the solopreneur life, dropping off the face of the internet entirely might slow the momentum you’ve been building. Try adding some automations into your workflow and let your tools do the work for you.
And if you can’t get away this summer? It could be the perfect time to connect with your customers locally.
